Terms and Conditions

1. Services Provided

STMATE provides independent floor trade estimating services, which may include:

  • Quantity take-offs

  • Marked-up drawings

  • Spreadsheets broken down by areas and rooms

  • Summary notes outlining scope, assumptions, and risks

All services are based on STMATE’s interpretation of the project documentation available at the time of review, including drawings, specifications, finishes schedules, and finishes plans.

2. Nature of Information

All quantities, areas, and finish types provided by STMATE are approximate only and supplied for pricing assistance purposes.

STMATE outputs are not guaranteed to be complete, error-free, or suitable for construction, procurement, or installation without independent review.

3. Client Responsibility

The client acknowledges and agrees that:

  • They are responsible for reviewing all STMATE deliverables prior to use

  • They must confirm scope suitability for their specific tender or pricing strategy

  • Final responsibility for pricing accuracy, scope coverage, and tender submission rests solely with the client

STMATE does not assume responsibility for pricing decisions or tender outcomes.

4. Assumptions & Exclusions

STMATE deliverables may not capture:

  • Documentation errors, omissions, or inconsistencies

  • Late-issued addenda, revisions, or clarifications

  • Builder-specific construction methods or site conditions

  • Trade overlaps, coordination requirements, or sequencing requirements

Not all assumptions or exclusions may be explicitly listed.

5. No Design or Construction Advice

STMATE does not provide:

  • Design certification

  • Engineering advice

  • Construction methodology advice

All outputs are provided strictly for estimating and pricing purposes.

6. Independent Service

STMATE is an independent estimating service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of any tender portal, builder, consultant, or platform.

All documentation reviewed is interpreted independently for the purpose of quantity take-offs and pricing support.

7. Fees & Payment

  • Services are provided on a fixed-price, per-project basis

  • Payment is required prior to download or access

  • Prices are inclusive of GST unless otherwise stated

  • Once deliverables have been made available for download, services are considered complete

No refunds are provided for completed and delivered work.

8. Licence, Use & Non-Exclusivity

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, STMATE deliverables are supplied on a non-exclusive, single-project licence.

STMATE may provide similar or identical take-offs for the same project to multiple clients. No exclusivity, tender protection, or pricing advantage is provided.

Deliverables may be used by the purchasing client for their own internal pricing and tender activities only and must not be:

  • Shared externally outside the purchasing entity

  • Submitted under another company’s name

Each client remains solely responsible for their own pricing strategy, inclusions, exclusions, and tender submission.

9. Direct Client Engagements

Where a client engages STMATE directly to provide estimating services for a specific project, that engagement is treated as confidential and client-specific.

In these instances:

  • Project information supplied directly by the client is not shared with third parties

  • STMATE does not resell or redistribute take-offs completed under direct client instruction

  • Deliverables are prepared solely for the engaging client’s internal use

This clause does not apply to take-offs prepared independently by STMATE for projects identified through tender portals or other industry sources.

10. Privacy & Confidentiality

STMATE takes privacy and confidentiality seriously.

STMATE does not:

  • Share client identities, contact details, or pricing information

  • Disclose which contractors have purchased or accessed specific take-offs

  • Sell or distribute client-provided documents or information

Client details are used solely for the purpose of delivering STMATE services and administering payment and access.

STMATE will not disclose confidential client information except where required by law.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • STMATE is not liable for any indirect, consequential, or economic loss

  • This includes loss of profit, loss of opportunity, or tender outcomes

  • STMATE’s total liability is limited to the fee paid for the specific project

12. Acceptance

Use of STMATE’s website, payment of fees, or download of deliverables constitutes acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
